Organized Labour Proposes N615,000 Minimum Wage, Prioritizes Food and Transportation

In a statement released by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Friday, details of the proposed N615,000 minimum wage were outlined, with a significant focus on essential needs such as Food and Transportation. 


The breakdown reveals allocations for various necessities, including Electricity/Power, Accommodation, and Medicals, resulting in the total sum. 


President Bola Tinubu acknowledges the need for an upward review of the minimum wage in his recent May Day message, amidst concerns over the high cost of living exacerbated by soaring inflation rates.
