Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, voiced strong criticism against the concerning trend of abandoned projects by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in the Niger Delta region during a recent meeting with the Minister for Niger Delta Development, Engr. 

Abubakar Momoh, and his delegation. Governor Uzodinma emphasized the pressing need for a comprehensive audit of these abandoned projects, stressing that their completion is vital for the advancement and prosperity of Imo State. 

He highlighted the recent memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the Ministry for the completion of these projects, underscoring the urgency for their swift recommencement. 

The governor's call for action extends beyond Imo State, advocating for a region-wide audit to address the multitude of abandoned projects, many of which hold significant potential for societal advancement. Governor Uzodinma's plea reflects a broader commitment to ensuring the timely completion and utilization of these crucial infrastructure projects, which stand to greatly benefit the people of the Niger Delta region.
